Year 3 students in H14 tasted two old Kiwi favourites - fish and chips and pavlova. Here's what they thought about them.

Fish and Chips
As I bite into the chip salt fills my hunger. As I take another bite I look at my fingers, I see tiny pieces of salt clinging to them. I lick them clean.

Fish and Chips
Fish and chips are crispy and smooshy. The oil wet’s the newsprint or it dissolves. The chips can come in all different sizes. My tummy tells me - go on eat it all.

Pavlova
The pavlova is a soft and bouncy dessert with a rocky surface, a soft and sticky inside. The inside tasted like marshmallow and the top tasted like surgery bread.

Pavlova
Pavlova is a dessert made out of meringue. It has a crunchy crust, white inside and it is topped with whipped cream and fruit. Pavlova is light, soft and marshmallowy all at the same time.
