H14/15 Garden To Table Session
What an amazing session with these keen Year 3 Kaitiakis.
In the kitchen our junior bakers made 'Veggie and Cheese Muffins' using cauliflower, broccoli and silverbeet from our garden. These muffins were scoffed down and many students asked for seconds.
The garden focus was on 'Composting', adding brown matter of Autumn leaves and green matter, which were leaves and stalks from our vegetables and some lawn clippings.
The keen gardeners really did the mahi to help weed around garden beds, and layer the brown and green matter into our compost bins.
Many insects were found and observed, which thrilled the students.
