This term, we will be participating in swimming lessons which will be instructed by Hilton Brown Swimming. Each student will participate in 8 lessons and each lesson will be 30 minutes. Students will be ability-grouped in structured swimming lessons. The components that will be covered in the programme are:

• Lesson 1 - Introduction to water safety and fitting of lifejackets.

• Lesson 2 - Rescuing using lifejackets.

• Lesson 3 - Swimming in clothes (no goggles).

• Lesson 4 – Water safety obstacle course, students swimming in clothes.

• Lesson 5 to 8 – Structured swimming lessons.

Students will walk to and from Hobsonville School with their classroom teacher, leaving 20 - 30mins before the scheduled lesson and returning 20 - 30mins after the lesson ends. 

The total cost of the lessons is $56. This is a pay to attend activity, payment in full or a confirmed payment plan is required 5 days prior to your child’s scheduled start date for your child to participate; this payment is non-refundable.

The swimming lessons will run from Monday to Thursday, Weeks 7 and 8 (4 sessions a week, 8 sessions in total).

The timetable for the lessons is as follows:

H20 - 12:00pm - 12:30pm

H24 - 12:30pm - 1:00pm

H25 - 1:00pm - 1:30pm

H26 - 1:30pm - 2:00pm

H27 - 2:00pm - 2:30pm
