Hobby's Whanau & Friends by Hobsonville School Office

Hobbby's Whānau & Friends

Hobsonville School Whānau & Friends are a group of parents and teachers who get together to share ideas for bringing funds into the school.

The funds raised by this group go towards planned items in the budget.

Hobby’s Whānau & Friends is not only about fundraising, but also about strengthening the school community and bringing us all together.

Please come along to our next meeting on Tuesday 6 May at 2.00pm in the Staff Room, and find out how you can support our school and share ideas.

Keen to donate prizes for raffles etc., or help with sponsorship?

Waste Free Lunch by Hobsonville School Office

Sustainability / Te Oranga Tonutanga

Hobsonville School is a waste-free school and we ask that ākonga come to school with waste-free lunches to reduce waste within the school environment.

A waste-free lunch means only packing items that can be composted or recycled. That means, no plastic wrap, no foil, no zip lock bags, and no packaged foods.

Hobsonville School only has organic waste bins. The waste is composted or fed to our worms to help support the growth of our vegetable gardens and fruit trees in our school garden. Through this process, we are teaching the ākonga to be responsible for the waste they create, and how they can make a difference in the environment we love. If ākonga bring waste to school, we ask them to please take this home.
