Year 6 Open Day - A day of Technology and Arts

On the first Friday of term, our Year 6s joined the Year 7s and the Year 7/8 teachers for a one-day taster of the Friday Technology and Arts learning that our Year 7/8s experience each week.
Over the year, Year 7/8 students take part in eight Technology and Arts options, attending two per term: Science, Food, Multi-Materials, Art, Music, Dance and Drama, Sports Science, and Creative Technology. By spending a whole term in each area, students have the opportunity to really deepen their content knowledge and practical skills in these engaging curriculum areas.
We are very much looking forward to the Year 6s joining us next year, and know they will now be looking forward to their Fridays in 2025. Each student will have produced one item to take home with them (if they didn't already eat it!) from one of the options they attended, so we hope the Year 6 students have shown you, or maybe even gifted you, their item.
