Bus lane cameras installed on Fred Taylor Drive and are operational from Monday 10 March
All of the special vehicle lanes in the North West Bus Improvements Project are currently being fitted with the enforcement cameras.
Fred Taylor Drive Bus lanes (Monday to Friday – All Day) – operational from today, Monday 10 March.
Triangle Road Bus lane (Monday to Friday 7am to 10am, and 3pm to 7pm)
T2 lanes on Te Atatu South (Monday to Friday 7am to 10am)
Te Atatu Peninsula. Southbound (toward motorway) – 7AM-10AM Monday to Friday. Northbound (toward peninsula) – 3PM-7PM Monday to Friday.
We have in the past received feedback from the community that they would rather have cameras, than see people breaking the rules and using the lanes, while they follow the rules.
The initial week that the cameras are live – the team will be issuing warning letters for the first few days of operation, followed by infringement notices. We will be running some social media coverage to let people know that the cameras will go live.
The cameras are to deter people from using the lanes outside of the rules.
