We are really on the countdown for our 150th celebration. Here are a few interesting facts from 1933:
Funds were raised to buy a piano. £7 was raised from an afternoon tea and a further £5 raised by the school committee.
A piano was purchased for the junior classroom.
Basketball was a very popular sport, particularly with the girls.
Swimming - at the beginning of the year, instead of the ordinary drill, Miss Newton taught Land Drill Life Saving exercises. When the tide was suitable the students went down and practised them in the water!
