Reminders

Absences:
If your child is going to be absent from school, or late arriving, please advise the school office by either:

Send a message via the SchoolApp. (Go to the APP Store on your Apple or Android device and Search 'SchoolAppsNZ' to download the app onto your device. Then search 'Hobsonville School' to find your school's app.

As we have to report to the Ministry of Education, it is a requirement that all absences are explained.

If we do not receive a message via any of the above options, a text is sent requesting an explanation for your child's absence. If we do not receive a response to our text message, one of our office staff will then telephone. If there is still no explanation for your child's absence, they will be marked T (Truant) as per the Ministry of Education guidelines.

Break Times:
Please note that the break times are as follows:

Morning Tea - 11.30am-12.00pm

Lunch - 1.10pm-2.00pm

Friday - Y7/8 students only

Morning Tea - 11.10am-11.30am

Lunch - 2.15pm-2.45pm

If you need to pick your child up for an appointment or other reason, please come before or after these break times, as it is very difficult to find students when they are outside playing.

Contact Details:
Please update your contact details, so that we are able to contact you, or a nominated emergency contact, if your child is sick or injured at school. Please email any changes to office@hobsonville.school.nz

Change of Clothes:
Please ensure your child has a change of clothes in their bag in case they get wet or muddy. It doesn't have to be uniform.
