Y 5-8 Speech Competition

Last Wednesday, 29 of our Year 5-8 students showcased their hard work and creativity in a speech event centred around the theme of Kotahitanga, or Unity.
Each speech offered unique perspectives of unity, through topics such as Rugby, the Roman Empire and Women's Rights.
The quality of the speeches was outstanding and the judges, Brad Hill, Christine Pasfield and Mary Laing had a hard time choosing who to place in the top 3!
However, two students have been selected to represent Hobsonville School at the upcoming Whiria Te Tāngata Speech Competition:
Ben Z. - Year 5-6
Zach M. -Year 7-8
