Here at the Haeata Community Campus we have many children with a “special need” that affects their ability to learn or interact with others.

This may be because of a diagnosed “condition” but in many cases these “issues” are undiagnosed and parents or carers are unsure how they can manage the child’s behaviour or special requirements.

Come along to the Haeata Staffroom for a cuppa and meet others parents and carers facing similar challenges. This is a very laid back meeting that will hopefully give you some ideas on how you may be able to work with your kid’s. Our first speaker will be Kelly Dugan (pictured above), the founder of SmileDialNZ, a charity that supports families raising kids with special needs.
