Board elections coming up

May / June signals a significant time in the history of Haeata. We have had our alternative constitution approved by the Minister of Education and are now entering into the election processes for a new Board of Trustees (BoT).

Our new Board will be slightly different from what you may be used to in that there are parent-elected trustees and also some appointed Trustees. Please read the attached constitution for explanation and I am happy to respond to any queries that arise.

We attach the key dates so you can be aware of when things happen. You can see that by the end of June we will have our new Board of Trustees in place. We expect their first meeting to be Monday 29 July.

It is a good time to acknowledge the Establishment Board of Trustees, many of whom have been with us for a significant period of time, some right from the days of consultation about the new school. They have been a committed group of individuals who have spent considerable time planning and thinking about Haeata. As a staff, we are very appreciative of their work in support of us.
