Ricardo Stoppels (Ihutai) has just completed the Red Shirts Programme through his Pathways Korowai.

This is an intensive programme where he studies retail and customer service theory and involves a 10-week work placement at The Warehouse. 

Asked about his experience Ricardo replied he "was able to truly understand what it feels like to be in the workforce" and he got to see what happens behind the scenes and how The Warehouse operates. 

As well as workplace experience at the Hornby store, he has also earned credits towards his Level 2 NCEA . He has shown resilience through this programme and is establishing a firm base for his future.
