Message from the Manukura (Principal)

Andy Kai Fong —

Kia ora Haeata whānau - it has been a very busy start to the year. On behalf of our staff, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to Haeata. We thank you for your support - as evident by student numbers that are nearly 950. We appreciate this is a massive change for some families and that for some, it will take time to settle into good learning patterns. We are pleased to say that progress is being made every week. I want to acknowledge and thank our leadership team: Rebecca Wilson, Tyrina Stewart, Melanie Taite-Pitama, Karyn Gray (Pictured above) for their work over the last 15 months. Their skill, energy and passion has laid a great foundation for our new kura (school) Also a massive ‘thank you’ to our incredible staff who are working tirelessly to design learning of the highest quality. We look forward to getting to know you better over the next few months and years and our first date for the year is on March 22, 5.00-7.30pm. I hope to see you all there!
