Karakia - a way to start the day.

Irihapeti Mahuika —

Every morning in Te Tai a Maahunui you will hear the kaiako and ākonga from the Tuakana (year 7-13) Hapori filling the whare with waiata and karakia.  Some of our Teina (year 1-6) also join us.  Karakia is the way we start the day here at Haeata.  It supports us all to clear away anything in our minds that may be troubling us, and start the day with calmness.

This process also happens in the Teina hapori including Kōmanawa in smaller groups.

You are welcome to join us whānau, 9am every morning.
