First of Haeata's Weekly Pathways Presentations

Monique Lee —

Sua spoke to Haeata's Pasifika Tuakana Students about studying at Ara

Thursday 9th May saw the first of these weekly talks commence,  which provides an opportunity for Haeata's Tuakana Students to learn more about pathways for them after graduating from Haeata.

"One thing I want you to get out of today, is how you learn... Would you learn better by someone standing up the front and telling you what to do, or would you learn by doing it?" Ara's Sua asked. Ara is very practical, similar in some ways to Haeata, he explained.

If you like learning in a practical way, Ara is a good option for you.  Currently Haeata has several children in dual enrolment at Ara, where one of their 5 school days is spent at Ara enrolled in a course of their choice.

If you would like to develop a Personal Pathway Plan, discuss external courses, further study or work, please get in touch with our Pathways Coordinator Maree Thomas - maree.thomas@haeata.school.nz
