Haeata Staff Update

Haeata —

Term 1 Farewells & Welcomes

Rebecca Wilson - Associate Principal

Rebecca was a foundation member of the senior leadership team when Haeata Community Campus was established in January 2016. As a Director of Learning, Rebecca’s portfolio included the establishment of the kura’s Hauora Team which provided support, advice and guidance to ākonga and whānau across the kura.

In 2021 Rebecca was promoted to the position of Manukura Tuarua/Associate Principal in recognition of her work across the kura and her significant expertise. Her approach to day to day running of the kura, her oversight of the Administration and Hauora Team saw her develop an enviable skill set in an educational setting.

Rebecca has won the position of Service Manager, Learning Support at the Ministry of Education where she will no doubt make a significant contribution across the schools’ network in Ōtautahi/Christchurch. To say we will miss Rebecca is an understatement of momentous proportions. She has been a friend, an advocate and a mentor to so many at Haeata.

We wish Rebecca well in her new role and thank her for her significant contribution to Haeata Community Campus over the past seven and a half years.
