Week 1 this term, digital literacy classes have begun at Haeata Community Campus. This is a collaboration between Haeata, 20/20 Trust and GCSN (Greater Christchurch Schools Network.)

A group of 8 parents are gathering in Puna Waiora twice a week to learn more about the the world of the Internet, create CVs, email and other IT skills. The content of the classes will be created around the needs of the participants. Their trainer is Mikaere Flavell, who is currently completing Year 13 at Haeata. Mikaere is a technical whizz who loves to spend time building building computers.
