The Big Top Extravaganza!  I want to acknowledge all the people that have made this production work. Firstly, we have a very strong ARTS team led by Lynda Peterson. Lynda, our Musical Director, and the team (Sue Coates, Simon Cary, Jo Bateman, Angela B-P, Sarah Brockie, Millie Jeffcott, Kelley Taylor and Megan Andrews) do a huge amount of organisation so that things go without a hitch and we tend to leave them to think of everything, and they always do. A special acknowledgement to Sue and Simon C for writing the script and training the lead actors. You’ve done an amazing job.

The classroom teachers have planned the items. You know what they say about working with small children and animals.....is it double the drama working with small children dressed as animals? 🤨 Makes life interesting, that's for sure:)

A special shout out to our character leads - Paige D, Logan D, Annabel H and Esther B. They have worked incredibly hard to learn the lines and perfect the delivery. We are so proud of you.

All the staff have done a phenomenal job. It truly is a team effort. I am so proud of everyone for pulling together to provide this opportunity for your children to shine. For some tamariki this will be the start of their love of the stage and we hope it is. For others it is about stepping out of their comfort zone and trying something new. School is about growth in all areas and having a go at everything. This production was all about joy, and after the last few years, we could all do with celebrating the joy in life. I love the way that the items reflect the age of the tamariki and their interests - ranging from the slightly bashful 5 year olds, through to the Year 5 and 6 classes where they plan and contribute to everything in the item, and you can see the sense of fun that they bring. It is very cool!

Thank you to the many families who have taken the time to email or pass on their thanks to the staff. While we all love the occasion, it helps to know that you appreciate the work that goes into these events:) I particularly like to read the grandparents emails, you can almost feel the pride they have for their grandchildren.

For those who have purchased the recording of the the production, this will be sent though to your email. We expect this to happen before or early on in the holidays so you can have many hours of rewatching your superstars during the break!
