Last week we celebrated Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with a special performance by our Kapa Haka at Hillmorton High. The hall was packed with over 650 people all there to support the four school groups that performed - Hoon Hay School, Te Kura Kōaka, Halswell, Oaklands and Hillmorton High. This was our first Cluster Cultural Festival and we are looking forward to this being an annual event. Special thanks to Matua Sonny and Whaea Tui for their continued support.

At school on Wednesday, our Kaitiaki team organised an afternoon wananga, a time of waiata, poi, rakau and other activities to celebrate Te Ao Māori.
