Basketball

Check out the smiles above, our HH Sting took on HH Swish at basketball on Wednesday evening.  The winner - Hoon Hay. A fast exciting game with great sportsmanship shown from both teams, and the result; Draw 4-4.  See some action photos below.  Our teams are all having an awesome season down at Pioneer and improving their skills every game.  We thank the coaches for their time and passion with our teams, and the children for their enthusiasm to learn and challenge themselves.  Our children are always shooting high at Hoon Hay, with two students Nikau J & Cruz M having recently been selected for Canterbury U13 basketball squads. - Ka pai boys, keep up the hard training.  If your child is interested in basketball, see flyers below for basketball clinics being offered at Pioneer during the October school holidays.

Touch Rugby

We have had another overwhelming response for touch rugby this summer, with over 70 children wanting to play which is fantastic.  Thanks to the parents who have offered to coach teams for us, without coaches we could not enter so many teams.....  THANK YOU SO MUCH. Teams will be selected after our school production and children advised.

Athletics

Legends children are now beginning athletic practise in preparation for athletics in Term 4.  Legends athletics will be competed over the first two weeks of term 4.  Our zone team for athletics will be chosen from these results. Parents are invited to watch the Legends track day on the 23rd October.  Teams; Koru, Harakeke & Minnows athletic days will be taking place during weeks 4, 5, and 6 of term 4. More information will come home closer to the time.
