Team Harakeke were lucky enough to have children's author Belinda O'Keefe visit and share her wonderful new story 'The Day the Plants Fought Back'. 

In the story, two boys who wreck havoc inside their home, are sent outside by their mother. They continue their antics and end up damaging the vegetable garden. The boys learn a crucial lesson when the plants come to life and give the boys a taste of their own medicine. It was an engaging and funny story and the children of Team Harakeke had lots of questions to ask Belinda about being an author. She told us she works on one story for months at a time, and that it has taken her 7 years to get one of her stories published.
