Would you like some help with your child's school account?

Variety - the Children’s Charity, connects a caring New Zealander with an individual child. The sponsor helps to provide the essentials and opportunities that the child might otherwise miss out on. Variety understands that not all kids need the same things, and they enable parents, caregivers and whānau to give their children what is needed for a happier, healthier childhood.

How does Kiwi Kid Sponsorship work?

Applications are invited from low income families. Once a child (aged 4-17) is linked to a sponsor, families can access $450 a year for whatever they need - clothing, shoes, bedding, school uniform, stationery, a school camp, sports or dance etc, including all school related costs. More than one child can be sponsored per family.

How do I apply?

If you would like to apply for sponsorship, please email emma.w@hoonhay.school.nz to make a time to meet. You will need to supply the following:

• Community Services Card (or bank statements)
• Clear photo of your child (can be emailed or text through)
• Your child’s birth certificate or passport
