Have your say on PUBLIC TRANSPORT FARES

Our draft Annual Plan is out for consultation, and we want to know what you think about three key public transport topics:

  • Greater Christchurch fare structure – zones (note: there would be no changes until February 2026 at the earliest)

  • Route 85 Rolleston-to-City proposed direct bus service improvements

  • A Darfield to Rolleston trial bus service

We’re also taking the opportunity to ask about some changes we’re proposing as part of our improvements to our consenting services:

  • Simplify our deposit structure, so instead of 19 different options, there would be four

  • Increase consent hourly charges. We need to decide whether we do it in one go or spread the increase over three years

  • Increase or reduce some other fees and charges

Your feedback will help our councillors decide what next steps to take and shape the plan for Canterbury in 2025/26. Visit ecan.govt.nz/telluswhatyouthink to find out more and then tell us what you think before 5pm, 3 April.
