South West Swimming Zones - 20th March

Congratulations to all our swimmers, who competed in the fast zone competition at Wharenui Pool this week.  Everyone swam well and the team had some stunning performances in the pool.   15 of our 20 swimmers made it through their heats into the final of their event, which is a fantastic achievement at zones.  Travis F showed his strength in the pool by taking 1st place in both freestyle & breaststroke in the Year 5 boys.

Our Zone Team; Travis F, Heath F, Blake J, Elsie K, Mia F, Zach N, Natalie L, Samantha Y, Eva L, Jamison C, Jessica P, Oshie L, Nikau J, Brooke C, Niamh E, Eliza G, Alex M, Kyle S, Jamie R and Abbey S.

We await zone confirmation, but on preliminary results, it looks like Hoon Hay School will have six children proceeding to swim at Centrals on the 5th April; Travis F,  Kyle S, Alex M, Mia F, Oshie L and Zach N.   Way to go Hoon Hay!
