Coast to Coast Multisport Champions

Big congratulations going out to former Hoon Hay student Nate Pringle.

Nate, who is Mrs Barcock-Pringle's son, competed in his first Coast to Coast event last weekend at age 17.  Nate competed in a 3 person schools team for St Andrews College.  

Nate completed the three bike leg sections of the event, in blitzing times, while his team mates covered the kayaking and mountain running disciplines.  The team was on fire and took first place in the schools section in a total time of: 13:20:04  covering a total distance of 243km.

It is amazing what Hoon Hay Te Kura Kōaka children can go on and achieve.  All that persistence, determination and teamwork installed in them from our school values.  We are very proud of you Nate, and love to hear success stories of our former students.
