We are so excited about our Colour Run on Friday, and we hope it's generated some excitement and chatter in your home too! ❤
We are going to keep our Colour Run going until 3.30pm on Friday. While you can collect your child at 3.00pm from the field, we welcome anyone to join in the fun until 3.30pm, so come on down and join in!
It will be a special event, and our wonderful PTA will be on the basketball court selling some treats between 2.45pm-3.30pm to finish off the fun. Be sure to get some goodies - cash or eft-pos will be available for purchases.
A big shout out to Anton Harris, who will be organising the sounds on the day - whoop whoop 🎤 - and to Kristen Rush for coming down to take some photos and ensure we will have a great record of the fun. 📷. Thank you for your support.
We are still looking for some parents to help on the day, and float the parachute on the course. It will be lots of fun and you will be up close as your children go whizzing by. If you are available for this, please contact - michelle.m@hoonhay.school.nz
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Children are to wear "colour run clothes" to school on Friday. Children can not take part wearing their school uniform. Children will be in bare feet or socks on the grass. We also suggest you have an old towel in the car to protect your upholstery for the ride home.
- Children are encouraged to bring sun glasses or swim goggles to keep powder out of their eyes, they can also wear a face mask if you have any asthmatic concerns. The coloured powder is made from cornstarch and food colouring (gluten free), so it is safe and non-toxic.
- All children are encourage to participate in this event, even if they have not completed any fundraising. This is about having fun! 😀
- We welcome everyone to come down and watch, and everyone is welcome to participate after 3.00pm.
- This is our major fundraiser for the year, we are wanting to raise money to go towards a scooter track. Our tamariki get to take part in a fun day, can win amazing prizes and fundraise for our school all at the same time. It is a win, win! Children order their prizes online on Saturday 28 October.
With only 2 days to go we need your help to make this a huge success for the school! Parents, please share your child's avatar link with your family, friends, work mates, or businesses for donations. This is a global fundraising platform, donations can come from anywhere in the world.
