What a glorious summer break we have had. Beautiful sunny, warm weather like the old days we remember with fondness. I hope you all managed to relax and spend time with your family and whānau.

This is where we celebrate the new children who have just started at Hoon Hay School, those receiving Principal's Awards and everyone who is about celebrate a birthday!

On Wednesday we had a visit from Tim Atkins. He is a NASA Ambassador and he has been staying with Mrs France.

The Year 5-6 digital device programme has been successful at Hoon Hay School. We believe that the Chromebook is a tool used to enhance learning and improve engagement. We use a management system called Hapara Dashboard that allows teachers to see everything the child completes as well as what they are currently working on at any point in time.

Tuesday 13th February and Thursday 15th February. 

Keahn was full time on set as the main lead (for Jacko). Being a Stand in means Keahn would help the camera crew align shots before actually shooting and he would also run lines with actors. These actors included Timothy Spall (from Harry Potter) & our very own Melanie Lynskey!!

Once again Tom has had a poem he has written selected for a website :-)
