A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR SCHOOL PTA AND THE NZ COMMUNITY TRUST FOR NEW SPORTS UNIFORMS

Check out the happy faces above who are modelling our new school sports uniforms.  We were very fortunate in 2017 to receive a grant from the NZ Community Trust along with some help from our Hoon Hay PTA to enable us to purchase some new sports uniforms for some of our teams.  They look fabulous, and the children are thrilled.  Hoon Hay School is going to be looking very smart at sport competitions this season.  Thanks to our models from Rm 19; Brooke, Louis, Max, Charlotte, Niamh, Hannah, Ella, Korey, Nathan and Francois.

WEET-BIX TRYATHLON

Good luck to all the Hoon Hay students participating in this Christchurch event this weekend.  Look for the Hoon Hay School sign and gazebo on arrival at event, this has been kindly erected by the PTA for the day.  Race fast and have fun, we can't wait to see your medals and hear all about it.

HOON HAY HOT SHOTS, LAKERS AND ROCKETS

Our three miniball teams kicked into action on Wednesday on the courts at Pioneer. Miniball is a great introduction to the game of basketball. It was wonderful to see many of our Year 4 students giving something new a go. Thank you to Mrs Drewett, Miss De Freitas and Mrs Andrews who are coaching our teams for us. GO HOON HAY - Have lots of fun!
