On Wednesday 10 August, eight students from the Koroī Ukulele Group took part in the Strum Strike Blow Festival - a concert featuring Ukuleles, Marimbas, and Recorders. 

Although the festival is in its 10th year, this was the first time Hoon Hay Te Kura Kōaka has taken part and we loved it!  

It was great to have all the parents along to support and to enjoy being part of a big event again.   

Congratulations to Melina P and Eve F who have been selected for the Christchurch Schools' Music Festival Representative Choir. They will represent our school each night of the Festival, and our school choir will perform with them on Friday 4 November.

Getting in to this choir is the same as being part of a Central sporting event as only the best in the whole of Canterbury are selected. Melina and Eve - we are so proud of you!
