Koroī perform at Christchurch Music Festival

Best wishes to the Koroī Choir who will be performing at the final night of the 2022 Christchurch Schools' Music Festival.

They have been rehearsing all morning and are all set to go for the big night. Sing your hearts out children - you will do us proud!

Congratulations to Melina and Eve who have been hard at it all week representing our kura in the Junior Representative choir. This will be their 4th night performing. Girls, we are very proud of you!

The Stars of Matariki - Nga Whetu o Matariki- The Sandman Marcus Winter by Marcus Winter The Sandman

Matariki

Friday was Aotearoa's first ever Matariki public holiday to mark the start of the Māori New Year. It is believed to be one of the first Indigenous celebrations to be recognised as a public holiday in a settler colonial state.

How did you and your whānau spend the day?

Matariki celebrations continue at Te Kura Kōaka.

Below are some pictures of tamariki working alongside their buddies to produce some fabulous art activities.
