🚧🚧 OPEN: OLA & Hoon Hay School's Border 🚧🚧

On the 7th of November, Hoon Hay and O.L.A. took away the border between our schools. This photo is of my friends, my sister and I at the O.L.A. garden and chicken area. The chicken that I am holding is Sprinkles, but when I had the chicken I called her Oprah. My Mum named her Oprah because she likes Oprah Winfrey. The reason why this is so special is because the chickens used to belong to my family. We had to get rid of the chickens because we were moving house and we could not have them there because of the area in our backyard and the noise from all the traffic. So giving them to O.L.A. was perfect!

I really enjoyed going over to the chickens! They seem a lot friendlier now, which I think is because I had a cat at my old old house and they were nervous about her. They are probably used to being around lots of kids and being picked up as well. I liked the setup they had for the chickens and also that there were vegetables growing inside their area! Overall I think that the chickens really like being at O.L.A. and they have definitely brought a lot of love to most of the kids. O.L.A. is doing a fantastic job of taking care of them.
