Hope and Sons Ltd — Mar 15, 2017

Hope and Sons are proud to sponsor and support another exciting project - The Heritage of the Taieri Competition.

The competition is for secondary schools and is aimed at getting pupils to research the founders of Taieri.

Rather than have the entrants write a 1500 - word essay, the competition would be left open for pupils to use different presentation skills.

"Thinking about the modern generation, they're not always keen on writing yet another essay. I'm comfortable if they want to create a Powerpoint presentation or a short film or documentary. I'd like them to use different skills. We're going to be open-minded." - Prof Ferguson

The winner and place-getters will recieve cash prizes. Details of the competition will be released to Dunedin secondary schools this week.

Hope and Sons are contemporary yet respectful of tradition, being a five generation funeral family caring for the Dunedin, Mosgiel, and Otago communities.
