A Service to Remember 2017

Megan Te Amo —

On Sunday 26th of November 2017 Hope and Sons held a Remembrance Service for all the families they have cared for over the last year.

Robyn Gray (Bereavement Support Service Coordinator) started the Service with an introduction.
The Hope family (Michael, Jannette, Jodie, and AJ) participated in the Candle Lighting.
Andrew Maffey (Funeral Director) delivered "Stories of Christmas", and following on from that the Dunedin Star Singers gave a stunning performance.

We heard from Marie Jensen-Chave, Lisa Breen, and Chaim Cleavin, and together we all sang "Te Harinui".

John Finlayson said a thanksgiving prayer, Michael Hope gave some closing words, and Jodie Hope concluded the Service with a blessing.

Some people stayed in the Chapel and used the time to remember their loved one, and others gathered in the Kennedy Lounge to share memories and stories over some light refreshments.

May this Christmas season bring you nothing but fond memories..

Hope and Sons are contemporary yet respectful of tradition, being a five generation funeral family caring for the Dunedin, Mosgiel, and Otago communities.
