Reflections of who we are: Gary Wybrow and Sophie Hall

Megan Te Amo —

With the Hope and Sons Art Awards 2016 theme of "Reflections of who we are" we were inspired to ask some of our staff to give their own personal reflections.

This is what Funeral Director, Gary Wybrow and Graphic Designer, Sophie Hall had to say:

“I love the time with my wife and children doing things together, keeping things simple. Giving the children opportunities we didn’t have. The outdoors. I like some alone time - wilderness fly fishing, sea fishing on the Jet Ski, and getting out for a ride. Good having a catch up and laughs with friends and extended family over some food and wine.”
- Gary Wybrow, Funeral Director
I am a Southlander raised on a sheep farm who has been in Dunedin for nearly a decade. I love music and attending concerts, if Shihad are playing somewhere you are most likely going to find me there! Planning holidays well in advance is a habit of mine as I love to travel and explore new places and be very organised about it. I have been at Hopes for six years after graduating Otago Polytechnic with a Bachelor in Design Communication with Merit, now they call me the print manager! – Sophie Hall, Graphic Designer
Hope and Sons are contemporary yet respectful of tradition, being a five generation funeral family caring for the Dunedin, Mosgiel, and Otago communities.
