The Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand is running a national awareness week from 11 - 15 April 2016 aimed at encouraging New Zealanders to discuss their funeral plans and their final wishes.

Ways to “Take the Time to Talk” with family and loved ones suggest sharing stories and asking questions about simple occurrences in your life – such as a first job, the purchase of your first car, a mentor or person who taught you a life lesson – all these stories help build a picture of a life which can be honoured and celebrated at the appropriate time. Rather than it being a sad conversation, sharing stories can be an enjoyable, comforting event which can provide reassurance your final farewell is respectful of your wishes and an accurate portrayal of your life.

To save family members the burden of funeral arrangements we have a Pre-Arrangement Service. All details are recorded by Hope and Sons in the strictest confidence. No obligation inquiries are welcome and advice is given at any time.
