Exploring the Rocky Shore: A Biology Field Trip
Sharlise Henderson Reports on the Latest Trip to Martin's Bay, Where Students Gathered Data for Their Biology Assessment
Last Friday, the Level Two Biology class visited Martin Bays to study the rocky shore. During this trip, we spent the day gathering data for our upcoming Biology assessment, exploring the distribution pattern and interrelationships between the organisms on the rocky shore. We collected the data from the high tide to the low tide zone, identifying organisms such as periwinkles, seaweed, mussels, barnacles, oysters etc.
Overall, it was a fabulous, fun day! A big thank you to everyone who helped take us to and from the beach and an extra big thank you to Mrs Welch and Alison for supervising a great trip.
