Year 11 Geography Trip
The year 11 geography class set out on 1 March for their first NCEA assessment for 2018.
We visited four beaches around Christchurch - Corsair Bay, Taylor's Mistake, Sumner and New Brighton. The students collected data on long shore drift, beach profile (measured in degree's with a Clinometer), and wave frequency/height. The data was then used as an authentic content for their NCEA assessment.
It was a great day out, beautiful weather and all the students were fantastic!!
Students had a week to write up their research findings in class.
