Jorja Woodgate of Year 11 has just become the first Hornby High School student of 2018 to gain her Level 1 NCEA, gained with an Excellence endorsement.

 To gain the certificate with an Excellence endorsement is an outstanding achievement at such a relatively early stage of the year, and is a testimony to Jorja's talent and incredible work ethic. This embodies all of our CARR values of Commitment, Achievement, Resilience, and Respect.

Amongst her talents, Jorja is a great creative writer, and embodies our aspiration to be 'a centre of creative excellence'. We are very proud of Jorja.

As an acknowledgement of this great achievement Jorja was shouted a celebratory morning tea with Principal Mr Robin Sutton, and her Year 11 Dean Whāea Chris McLaren.
