Kia ora koutou katoa. What a year 2019 has been! Miss Simpson joined the Health Department while Mrs Petrie was on maternity leave with her son, Max. Health Education was moved into what's known as the “Prime Real Estate” space - M8. Planning began in preparation for some pretty exciting changes for 2020.

This year we covered a wide range of engaging and relevant topics.

Topics covered in Health from Year 9 to Year 13 include: Improving our Wellbeing, Mental Health, Drugs and Decision Making, Sexuality, Hauora, Relating To Others, Resilience, Managing Change, National and International Health Issues, Personal Safety, Ethical Issues, and Health Promotion.

Miss Aitken and Miss Simpson have seen students reach their full potential and develop their understanding of health related topics. We have really enjoyed teaching all of the students that we have had throughout the year. There have been some outstanding results gained, and work produced, this year, well done to everyone!
