Well who would have thought we are here already at the end of the term.

What a bumpy ride it has been too.

As we wind down towards the end of what seems like one of the longest in history, we should take time out, pause, and recognise the fantastic mahi that has been happening in our Kāhui.

From the Year 9’s building relationships and learning the skills of co-operation, patience, and resilience, in the STARS programme run by our senior students, to the Year 7 & 8’s who now have a better understanding of our CARR values through a continuation of the Kiwi Kaha programme, it has been a great learning journey.

In Wānanga we have built on our skills to be able to relate well to one another, be prepared to learn, and emphasize our school CARR values, and the amazing insightful mahi into Matariki.

Time to celebrate all the CARR cards, Carr postcards, ‘congratulations’ for jobs well done, a pat on the back, a high five, and all the kai pai well dones. A time to acknowledge the ‘blood sweat and tears’ from our dedicated teachers who have worked tirelessly to provide choice, learning and activities.

So as we contemplate the end of the term, let's too recognize and acknowledge a term well done considering it has been a slightly unconventional one! A deserved break. Some time out ready to come back re-energized, revitalized and ready to do it all over again!

So stay safe, stay warm and enjoy the break.
