He Waka Tapu would like to invite organisations to be part of our Christmas theme 5 km FUN whanau event.

This event is a free event for whanau held across the regenerate land which is part of the red zone. Dressing up is part of the fun with obstacles throughout the course ending in a 400m slip slide.

We have engaged with Adrian from Active QT, his enthusiasm for organising events is driven by his sporting experiences over the years and promotes a combination of adventure and wellbeing opportunities to people from all walks of life. Some of his well-known events are Aoraki Mount Cook Marathon, Cycle Race, Color Burst Queenstown, Sky Runner Cadrona and Trifactor Wanaka to name a few.

This event will continue to be an annual event with more numbers expected each year. This year we have 800 free tickets available – 200 have gone already (within 24hrs)
