Year 10-12 Tīeke Dean's Report

Oscar Richardson —

Kia Ora Koutou whānau of Tīeke Kāhui. What a busy term we have had. We have had a lot of trips and events, but we are getting close to the school holidays.

I have just come back from the famous Year 10 Boyle River camp and I am lost for words. Our ākonga (students) did us proud by representing the school to such a high standard while they were away. Everyone got into the activities and made the most out of this awesome opportunity. From early starts and late finishes the Year 10's were able to make the most of their jam-packed days and give everything (even things they didn't think they could do), a go.

Our school CARR values were on full show from every student so it was great to watch the success, enjoyment, and joy, of everyone.

Moving forward through to Term 3, this becomes a very busy time for our seniors. I will be conducting academic interviews to help everyone keep on track and remind everyone of their goals. Remember our Year 11 students are working to gain 80 credits, including 10 literacy and 10 numeracy credits and our Year 12's are working to achieve 60 credits (if they gained level 1).

Our students are working really hard to uphold our Tīeke expectations with punctuality and uniforms. If students are at school on time every day, they have a greater chance of success. If students are going to be late or absent could caregivers please take the time to email or ring in to student reception on:

Once again, I am always here to help so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
