Year 10-12 Tīeke Dean's Report

Oscar Richardson —

Kia ora koutou whānau of Tīeke Kāhui. We are right back into the swing of things. Students have settled back into school and are working hard to strive for their best.

As we only have one and a half weeks left of this term I would like to remind everyone to check in with your teachers, see what assessments are due, and check what you can do to get the best outcome in each class.

Due to Covid-19, the government is aware that our students have missed a lot of school in what is usually a ‘crunch time’ term. Please read the earlier piece in this newsletter on NCEA and Covid Disruption. This will hopefully take a bit of the added pressure off your children.

Once again I would like to remind you all of our Tīeke expectations. These include getting to school before 8:30am, wearing the correct uniform, not having fast food on school grounds, not leaving school during the day, being punctual to every class, and boys being clean shaven.

If students are going to be late or absent could caregivers please take the time to email, ring or use the absentee option in our school app.

Keep up the good work. I am always here if students or whānau have any questions or need to discuss anything. I am more than happy to help.

Ngā mihi
