In an innovative partnership between Hornby High School, Miles Construction, and Kainga ora, our senior Hard Materials students are breaking new ground by gaining first-hand, on-site experience right at the heart of construction projects in the Hornby community.

Guided by Miles Construction project managers, students gain insights into construction techniques, project management, and safety protocols. This initiative not only equips students with knowledge of the construction process but also exposes them to diverse roles within the industry.
These site visits will continue to be frequent throughout Term 3 and into the first half of Term 4 before our seniors go on exam leave.
