Albert Wilson —

Talofa lava. Half way through Term 1, time is going by fast and a lot is happening in and out of school for our Year 12 students. This week we have over 10 students taking part in a Welding Course at Southern Institute of Technology. Also this week we had our NCEA Achievers Assembly. These are just some of the great things our students are part of.

NCEA Achievers Assembly

What an event, it was amazing to be a part of it. This year, guest speaker Daisey Lavea-Timo was inspiring and thought provoking. If you missed the event, you can see the live stream that was taken on the Hornby High School Facebook page. Simply Follow the page and gain access to all the great content. I am so proud of our year group, well done to you all.

The photo above is of our top achieving students in NCEA Level 1. Lachlan Hickford, Shardey Harris, Amber Quigley, Iris Taramia and Anna Pohatu all gained Level 1 NCEA with an Excellence Endorsement.
