All children cycling to school must wear a helmet.

Andrea Wall —

Since January 1994, the law has required that cycle helmets must be worn, meet an approved standard and be securely fastened for all cyclists on New Zealand roads.

AS/NZS 2063 is New Zealand's bicycle helmet standard. It specifies construction and performance requirements for lightweight protective helmets intended to reduce the adverse effects of a blow to the head.

If you or your family members are biking to school, please make sure they are wearing a helmet.
