... an interesting and challenging 2017
The former HHS library was demolished earlier this year in preparation for the new, innovative Learning Commons building. Although the ‘transit’ library space is confined, we’ve managed to create a welcoming area for students who frequent it.
The current focus is on supporting students and staff as efficiently as possible with digital and hardcopy resources. Students and staff have provided input to new titles and authors of interest, which has helped continue the growth of the existing collection.
We liaise regularly with public and school librarians citywide and the ‘Learning Commons’ taskforce team to help realise our vision.
We are excited by the prospect of our new Library’s completion in 2018 where it’s anticipated that students, staff and community will relish a ground-breaking environment that will support the school’s vision to develop creative excellence where students can Learn, Create, Share!
