Year 12 Dean's Report
Kia ora, talofa lava and hello. Well the time has come and NCEA exams are here! Some students will be excited about the challenges, many nervous, some anxious.
At this time of year it is really important to inspire resilience and encourage our young people to always give their best and of course never give up.
Exams are sat here at school but staff running the examinations are external personnel contracted by the Ministry of Education. Conditions are strict and to ensure things go smoothly I ask of you; caregivers, to remind your children of the following…
All students must be at the examinations at least 10mins early to ensure they are prepared and so that they can be seated ready for the start time.
Students are to bring their MOE card and student number details
Students must have the correct equipment, this is subject dependant and students should know what they need. (students can NOT use any other pen colour other than blue or black! And they will not be able to have equipment in a pencil case, it must be clear e.g. snaplock bag)
Examinations are TEST conditions - students are NOT to ask questions about the content in the examination.
NO food is allowed therefore it is recommended that students eat prior
It is also recommended that students go to the toilet prior
Students MUST be in full, correct school uniform at ALL times when at school for exams or if they are on school premises to complete any remaining internal credits.
Students are not allowed on school premises unless here for exams or any other school related engagement.
All students have been provided with an exam timetable. If, for whatever reason, they do not have it please download from the NZQA website… http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/assets/qualifications-and-standards/qualifications/ncea/exams-and-portfolios/exam-timetable-2017.pdf
