Refereeing Rugby League at Top Levels

Congratulations to Chloe Harvey from 9mn. This past week, she was called in to touch-judge the Canterbury under 16's Rugby League Grand Final between the Hornby Panthers and Linwood Keas at the last moment when a touch-judge had to pull out.

Chloe has been awarded a medal in recognition of her work at such a young age at this level. She is pictured here with her own medal and her father’s medal of recognition of 16 years refereeing Canterbury Rugby League. It clearly runs in the family. She has been touch-judging premiers all season as well as for an international game for the Canterbury under 17's. She is also a regular referee for the Junior divisions in League.

Chloe will be attending the Mini-Mod Global Games; Under 13's Rugby League Tournament, where she is the only South Island, the only woman ref and also the youngest referee attending.
