Fun, games and learning in Kiwi Kaha focusing on what really helps to keep relationships positive.

Lucretia Treadgold —

Working relationships, school relationships and family relationships all require great communication, friendships and cooperation.

And within those examples we have created many simple activities around giving and receiving compliments, active listening and being able to share our views calmly and accepting disagreements. We get very interesting results in our classes with valuable lessons within them.

It's also getting to that time of year when Gabby and I need to pick the Kiwi Kaha students of the year. We pick one boy and one girl and there has been some very stiff competition from our students this year. Picking the best two is not going to be easy, they have put in so much effort.

Click on the link to watch 2 different episodes of Kiwi Can lessons, that were made for TVNZ channel One.

Both episodes were made by our very own amazing leaders here in Christchurch, Connor and Chris. The episodes are about the different aspects of resillience: perseverance and patience. Both of which are extremely valuable lesson that our team deliver to our tamariki in schools across Canterbury.

Check out more episodes from our team and the Auckland team on the TVNZ Home Learning channel.
